A woman has been charged after a police search of a vehicle in a Lake Macquarie suburb.
Around 2am today, police were patrolling Howard Street in Warners Bay, when they observed a male and female standing next to a vehicle.
Police spoke to the pair, and subsequently searched the vehicle.
Officers allegedly discovered a powdered substance, believed to be ecstasy, a number of tablets and several clear resealable bags during the search.
A 30-year-old woman was charged with possessing a prohibited drug and supplying a prohibited drug, and will appear at Newcastle Local Court today.
