Olympic gold medalist Tom Slingsby’s Oracle Team USA have made a flying start on the opening day of the America’s Cup.
Sharing top spot, the Gosford sailor helped navigate Team USA to first day line honours.
He wasn’t the only Central Coast olympian onboard, former Terrigal marathon swimmer Ky Hurst is part of the six man team.
The former Ironman is the team’s grinder – the most physically demanding job of all.
