PORT GIRLS THROUGH TO WORLD CUP FINAL

Port Macquarie’s futsal World Cup trio has stormed through to the grand final in Spain, after the Aussie women downed Sweden 9-3 overnight.

Sophie Jones and goalkeeper Britt Hargreaves kicked one goal each, while Shannon Day scored a hat-trick.

“I’m so proud of our girls, we’ve worked hard, we’ve listened to the coaches, I think we’ve done everything we can,” Day said.

They’ll play the USA in the decider this evening.
