Today marked the 4th anniversary of Wear it Purple Day and Tamworth police threw their support behind the event.
Wear it Purple Day supports sexuality and gender diversity, with the aim of letting young people know it’s ok to be who they are.
Police set up a stand out the front of the station this morning to promote how one colour can make a difference.
“It’s grown to this point now where it has such significant support and certainly the New South Wales Police Force state-wide is really behind Wear it Purple Day and I think that message is going to continue to grow and get stronger.”
