TEENAGERS CHARGED OVER ALLEGED SOUTHPORT ASSAULT
Four teenagers have been charged over a violent robbery on the Gold Coast.
Just after 9pm last night, three boys approached two men sitting at a table outside a restaurant on Nerang Street in Southport.
The group then became involved in an altercation.
A 22-year-old man was allegedly threatened with a knife, assaulted, and had his phone stolen.
A 27-year-old man was also allegedly assaulted, and had a tablet computer and wallet stolen.
The group then fled the scene on foot.
Four boys, two aged 16, a 15-year-old, and a 14-year-old, were located a short time later by police.
Each have been charged in relation to the incident.
The 22-year-old man was transported to hospital with lacerations to his head and hand.
The 27-year-old was treated on scene for minor injuries.
