A+ CLIMATE REPORT FOR LISMORE CITY COUNCIL

Lismore City Council has been praised for “picking up the slack” when it comes to dealing with climate change.

The Climate Council has released a report into the future of coal, identifying New South Wales as responsible for MORE air pollution than any other state.

However, Lismore was identified as a leader on the issue.

It’s taking steps to transition to renewable energy sources within just five years.

“Building a solar farm to help offset their electricity costs on the local sewage treatment plant, it’s a floating farm, it’s not the first in Australia but it’s the biggest.”
