BURNT OUT CAR LINKED TO HOME INVASION

It’s been discovered that an abandoned and burnt out vehicle on the Gold Coast was stolen during a burglary on the weekend.
Emergency services responded to reports of a car fire on Kopps Road in Pacific Pines around 9.20pm on Monday.
The fire was extinguished and a search revealed a firearm and ammunition inside the car.
Police say the Chrysler sedan was stolen from a Gunther Street home on Sunday.
During the burglary, two men also assaulted a 30-year-old woman.
She was treated at the scene for non-life threatening injuries.
Police believe the burglary was targeted, and the men were known to the residents.
