Sam Poolman already gives back to her sport by coaching young netballers from the Hunter.
Now she’ll take on the role of ambassador for Alzheimer’s New South Wales, a disease that claimed the life of her grandfather.
Poolman’s Giants claimed top spot in Super Netball with a win over the Vixens yesterday.
They’ll host the Firebirds in Sydney on Friday, before Poolman heads home to take part in the Memory Walk fundraiser, on Sunday.
