Cessnock Council has plans to transform the heart of its CBD into a thriving and vibrant commercial precinct.
Key to its proposal is the development of a new town square, which would bring together residents and retailers in one location.
Council is also planning to raise building height limits, to reinforce Vincent Street as the centre of the precinct.
Local residents are encouraged to have their say until June 14.
