A group of Tamworth women are banding together to give disadvantaged mums a special gift this Mother’s Day.
The Tamworth Mums support group is collecting donations to help put a smile on faces next Sunday.
Items range from body lotions to gift certificates, with the group also asking for messages of love and encouragement.
“It’s women sticking together, from one mum to another, just helping each other out I think the community needs more of that.”
The bags will be donated to The Women’s Shelter.
Anyone who still wishes to donate can do so this Saturday at the support group’s shop front on Robert Street.
