MAN CHARGED AFTER PIZZA SHOP HOLD UP

A man will face Wyong Local Court today in relation to an armed robbery at a pizza restaurant on the Central Coast last month.

At around 9pm on the 12th of March, police allege the 30-year-old walked into the Pacific Highway business with a knife.

Police claim he threatened a number of staff members before running off with some cash.

Yesterday, police say they attempted to stop who they believe to be the same man, who was allegedly driving a stolen vehicle in a shopping centre carpark in Lakehaven.

Hours later, police found the car parked in the driveway of a home on Eden Close, Kanwal.

Officers entered the house and arrested a man.

He’s been charged with a number of offences including robbery while armed with an offensive weapon, fraud, traffic offences including disqualified driving and engaging in a police pursuit, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
