ADDITIONAL $60 MILLION IN SCHOOL MAINTENANCE FOUNDING ANNOUNCED
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Education Minister Rob Stokes have announced an additional $60 million financial package to target schools with the longest maintenance lists.
The $60 million is on top of the $330 million over two years announced in the NSW Budget 2016-17.
Schools with the biggest job lists, such as Rutherford, Great Lakes College Forster, Colo High School and Tuggerah Lakes Secondary College The Entrance, will get priority.
Over 2100 schools are now exected to recieve funding as part of the Government’s maintenance blitz, and roofing, floor coverings and painting will be fixed.
Education Infrastructure NSW will take responsibility for the schools maintenance program.
