COMMERCIAL QUANTITY OF ‘ICE’ ALLEGEDLY SEIZED AT BALLINA AIRPORT
Northern Rivers police have allegedly seized a commercial quantity of the drug ‘ice’ during a search at an airport over the weekend.
Ongoing investigations led police to an airport in Ballina around 9am yesterday, where they spoke to a 38-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman, before searching them and their luggage.
A commercial quantity of methylamphetamine was allegedly discovered as a result.
Subsequent inquiries led police to execute a search warrant at a home on Martins Road in Larnook, where police say they located unregistered firearms, ammunition, cash, and what they believe to be a stolen Holden Commodore Utility
The man has been charged with possess prohibited drug and supply commercial quantity of prohibited drug.
The woman has been charged with two counts of possess prohibited drug and supply commercial quantity of prohibited drug.
