A 56-year-old man has been charged with indecently assaulting a child under the age of 16.
Detectives from the State Crime Command Child Abuse Squad investigated after reports a 13-year-old boy had been assaulted in a Toormina shopping centre on Friday.
The man has been released on conditional bail and is due to face a Coffs Harbour court on the first day of next month.
