RUSTY KELLETT MEMORIAL SHIELD GOING TO KOOTINGAL

Kootingal pair Keith Hardwick and Harold Rogers won a lawn bowls competition today, held in honour of one of the West Tamworth club’s most hard working members.
The ‘Rusty’ Kellett Memorial Shield is named after a man, who bowled in Tamworth for over 50 years.
20 teams entered, with representatives arriving from as far as Lismore.
“A lot of them would’ve known ‘Rusty’ Kellett. Blokes that didn’t know, would’ve heard of him. So, he was pretty well known in the District.”
