KURRI KURRI SMASHED BY FAST-MOVING STORM

The Hunter Valley is reeling after a ferocious, fast-moving storm swept through the region this afternoon, toppling trees and damaging property.

Worst-hit was the town of Kurri Kurri, where wind speeds estimated at more than 120 kilometres an hour wreaked havoc.

  1. I love the fact that the Hunter Superintendent praised 2 police officers for going into the community centre to rescue the trapped lady when it was actually a team of youth workers who did that! Loving the praise for a positive community response! #whatajoke

  2. The Police System as a whole, is so far out of touch reality, i highly doubt they can get an news item correct.

  3. One of the co-workers kicked the wall in to rescue the lady trapped in knee deep water. So brave !!

  4. She was buried up to her waste in bricks and timber debri. A worker had to smash and climb through a High window and drop down into the room to get to her.
