MAN RECOVERING AFTER ALLEGED ANZAC DAY GLASSING

A 24-year-old man is recovering in Gosford Hospital, after an alleged glassing incident on Anzac Day.
An argument erupted just after 7.40pm in the carpark of a tavern on Wyong Road at Chittaway, when it’s alleged a 33-year-old punched a man in the face, cutting his cheek.
Another 24-year-old man attempted to intervene and was allegedly hit in the face with a schooner glass.
The man’s face and upper arm received lacerations and an ambulance was called.
The accused was arrested a short time later and charged with reckless wounding and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He was granted conditional bail and will appear at Wyong Local Court next month.
