CRUISER RUNS AGROUND APPROACHING CAPE HAWKE HARBOUR
A man has allegedly returned a positive breath test after running his cruiser aground on the mid north coast.
Around 7:30pm yesterday, the 55-year-old was taking his 33-foot cruiser from Port Stephens to Queensland, but ran the boat aground on Main Beach in Forster as it was approaching Cape Hawke Harbour.
The skipper was removed by police, and he allegedly later returned a breath analysis reading of 0.159.
The man, from Queensland, was charged with high range PCA (Marine)
The boat will be retrieved with the assistance of a crane.
