CARS STOLEN AND PROPERTY BROKEN INTO NEAR LISMORE
A man and a woman are due to face court, after two cars and personal belongings were stolen near Lismore.
Early last Sunday morning, police received reports of cars being stolen from separate locations in South Lismore.
At one of the locations, a home was also broken into, and personal property was stolen.
Police located both vehicles later that morning, and spoke to a 42-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman.
It’s alleged a search of the man also uncovered car keys, a driver’s licence and a credit card belonging to the owner of the first vehicle, while the woman was allegedly in possession of car keys of the second vehicle, cash and cards.
Police say the man was also carrying three knives and tools used for breaking into homes.
The pair were charged with a number of offences over the incident and will appear in Lismore local court next month.
