18-YEAR-OLD CHARGED OVER WEST TAMWORTH ASSAULT
An 18-year-old man has been charged after a man was struck in the head with a brick and a bottle, in the north west at the weekend.
Police say the man, aged 32, suffered serious head and facial injuries after allegedly being struck in the head during a large brawl on Green Street in West Tamworth, on Sunday morning.
The victim remains in a Sydney hospital in a stable condition with a fractured skull.
Subsequent inquiries led police to a home on Sue Crescent in West Tamworth, where they arrested the teen.
He was later charged with reckless grievous bodily harm.
