DRIVER CRASHES INTO GUARD RAIL TRYING TO EVADE POLICE
A driver on the Central Coast has allegedly returned a positive breath test after trying to evade police as Operation Go Slow continues through the weekend.
Police were patrolling Central Coast Highway at Wamberalabout around 2:30am today, when they allegedly detected a speeding white Commodore sedan.
They attempted to stop the vehicle, but it sped away.
Police apprehended the driver after the car lost control and struck a guard rail on Maas Parade.
The 26-year-old male driver the returned a breath analysis of 0.135.
He was charged with fail to stop for police pursuit, mid-range PCA, speed dangerous, and suspended driver.
Operation Go Slow continues until 11.59pm on Tuesday. Double demerits apply for speeding, mobile phone, seatbelt, and motorcycle-helmet offences.
