The fate of Gunnedah’s Waterways Wildlife Park is expected to be revealed by the end of the month.
Owners Nancy and Colin Small have been working with the Department of Primary Industries to ensure the park complies with safety regulations.
In a letter to the department, the Smalls have requested a 12-month extension to meet the new guidelines.
They’ve also outlined eight other proposals, including reducing the number of species at the park and renovating numerous enclosures.
