MAN WANTED OVER FRAUD OF TWO ELDERLY WOMEN
Police have released CCTV footage of a man, following the defrauding of two elderly Central Coast women.
In February this year, a 91-year-old woman was contacted by a man, who claimed he had found her purse.
The woman was asked to confirm personal details to authenticate her identity and she subsequently had more than $29,000 taken from her account.
In a similar incident in November last year, a 93-year-old woman received a phone call from a man claiming to be the manager of a bank.
The man claimed the woman’s wallet had been found, and requested she confirm personal details to authenticate her identity.
The woman later had more than $12,000 taken from her account.
Police have now released CCTV footage and images of a man who might be able to assist with their inquiries.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance and aged in his 40s.
The man is seen wearing a fluro orange or yellow work shirt, blue pants, tan boots, a wide brim hat and sunglasses.
Police believe the man was using a grey Toyota Kluger.
