It’s been a while since Newcastle’s been home to footballing champions, but last night it hosted three of the greatest ever – members of Liverpool’s 2005 Champions League winning side.
Lucho Garcia, Vladimir Smicer and Didi Hamann were at Queens Wharf Hotel for a fans appearance, pulling a huge crowd.
All three played a crucial role in Liverpool winning that tournament: The final is known as the greatest comeback of all time.
