HUNTER VALLEY HOUSE DESTROYED BY FIRE
A Hunter family has lost all of their possessions after fire destroyed their home overnight.
It’s believed the family-of-five, including three children under the age of 10, were awoken by a fire alarm in the kitchen of the Singleton home.
The timber house was quickly engulfed in flames, and by the time fire crews arrived, there was nothing they could do to save it.
It took more than four hours for fire crews to extinguish the blaze.
Fortunately, the family escaped unharmed and no other properties came under threat.
The Rural Fire Service believes an electrical fault may have caused the blaze.
