A 23-year-old man has been charged with dangerous and negligent driving occasioning death, after a fatal crash near Ashford yesterday.
The accident has promped Highway Patrol officers to warn drivers to slow down over the Easter long weekend.
Dozens of police will be out on country roads over the holiday break, cracking down on people not wearing seat belts and speeding.
Operation Tortoise started last night, with double demerits in effect until midnight on Monday.
