Charities, overwhelmed by the generosity, have combined forces to open a central hub for flood donations.
The North Lismore Showground Pavilion will serve as a collection point for furniture, white goods, clothing and electronics.
The donations will then be made available to residents affected by the recent flood disaster.
“The generosity has been huge and we thought we could do it at our warehouse – that was clearly, day two, not going to happen, we weren’t going to fit it in”
The pavilion will be open from 10am to 2pm, Tuesday to Saturday, until May 6.
Residents seeking donations are asked to bring proof of their address, along with their identification.
