  1. Bob Baldwin would only be interested if some of his rich friends are missing out on something for free.

  2. I AGREE wholeheartedly with the member from Bob Baldwin. I and many of my friends on disability pensions have been assisted by the dental scheme, INTRODUCED BY TONY ABBOTT WHEN HE WAS HEALTH MINISTER. If this was being abused Labor has has two years to make it means tested. There is no need to abolish it and PROMISE!! to introduce a new one (when and where do we get the 8 billion?) This has made a huge difference to my life as a front tooth was missing and others have had no teeth. Dental health is directly linked to heart disease so the program is VITAL to many pensioners. I am half way through my treatment and have two months to finish it. I am thoroughly disgusted.
So to the poster above, Mike, you have no idea what you’re talking about. Baldwin has obviously had constituents complain.
The question you should be asking is why Labor has chosen NOT to introduce means testing to an already established dental scheme and why they waited 2 YEARS to issue this statement. Is it closer to the election? Tony Abbott introduced a much needed scheme but has not made a big deal about it. I range the AD and they are not impressed.
