TWEED HEADS RAIDS LEADS TO CASH, GUNS AND DRUG SEIZURES
Prescription and illegal drugs, cash, and firearms have been seized during police searches in the far north of the state.
Just before 4:30pm yesterday, ongoing investigations led police to search a home at Oakland Drive at Banora Point in the Tweed Heads region.
Police allegedly located 2kgs of cannabis, 35grams of cocaine, steroids, prohibited weapons and cash.
A further two search warrants were executed at two properties on Tweed Valley Way at Chinderah, where more cocaine, cannabis and cash was allegedly found.
A 34-year-old man was charged with a range of drug-related and weapons offences, and dealing in the proceeds of crime.
He will appear in local court in May.
Another 32-year-old man was arrested but later released pending further investigation.
