COUNTDOWN BEGINS TO EASTERN UNI GAMES IN NEWCASTLE

She may have taken a year’s break from the W-League, but footballer, Tara Andrews, is fired up for the Eastern University Games in Newcastle.

The former Matilda will take to the pitch alongside a number of Jets players, when the event gets underway in July.

“Claire Coelho, Sophie Ivanovich, Claire Cummings has played before so there’s a few girls that have played in the Newcastle Premier League so I think we’ll have a pretty good team this year and looking to get the gold medal at the games,” said Andrews.

Launched today, the games will feature 3,000 athletes across 17 sports.
