Multi-million dollar upgrades to Armidale’s Airport are beginning to take shape with the concrete foundations poured and steel frames now in place.
The improvements will see the existing terminal almost double in size – creating a new cafe and retail area, as well as passenger check-in and baggage carousel.
Security will also be enhanced, which will allow larger aircraft to service the region.
Stage one of the $9.4-million upgrade is expected to be completed by next month.
