Flood-affected residents and businesses will be eligible for government grants, after the region was declared a natural disaster zone.
Lismore, Ballina, Byron, Kyogle, Tweed and Richmond Valley have all been listed for assistance under the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements.
For individuals, funding includes grants for immediate assistance, household contents and essential structural repairs.
Small businesses, primary producers and non-profit organisations will also be eligible for concession rate loans.
