A woman, struck by a car crossing Ballina Road early this morning, has died in hospital.
The incident happened near the Molesworth Street intersection about seven.
The elderly woman suffered head injuries and went into cardiac arrest, before being rushed to Lismore Base Hospital.
Traffic was diverted around the scene for several hours.
