CBD SEWER MAIN PROJECT CONTINUES: EXPECT TRAFFIC DELAYS

Tamworth’s $2.5-million sewer main renewal project is entering a new phase, with motorists being advised to avoid parts of the CBD early next week.

Temporary closures will be in place from Monday at 6pm until Tuesday at 10am.

Affected roads include Darling Street between Kable Avenue and Marius Street, Kable Avenue between Bourke and Darling Streets and Peel Street from Bourke to Macquarie Street.

The sewer rising main project needs to be completed before work can progress to a roundabout being built at the intersection of Peel and Marius streets.
