NEW ENGLAND RUGBY SEASON READY FOR KICK OFF

New joint venture Glen-Guyra face a tough assignment in tomorrow’s first round of New England Rugby, travelling to Belle Vue for a clash with the defending champions.

The majority of the St Alberts College premiership-winning side have graduated, with replacements stepping up from last year’s victorious second grade outfit.

While the Ghost Stags will put the Challenge Cup up for grabs, as an extra incentive to perform.

The round’s other match sees the Blues host Robb College, at Moran Oval.

Armidale is fielding four debutants, with both teams eager to return to the competition’s top two.
