COFFS MEN REJOICE AS NEW SHED TAKES SHAPE

The gents at Coffs Harbour Men’s Shed are only months away from moving into their new digs at the old water plant site.
Mayor Denise Knight has added some personal touches to the design.
“This is something that I initiated some years ago, to have a community infrastructure grant and this is the sort of thing we want to see. The Men’s Shed is incredibly important to the area, not just Coffs Harbour.”
The area’s Men’s Shed president, Alan Larkin says the new bigger space will allow for metal and painting work.
“This is the end of a seven year wait since the shed’s been going since I’ve been coming… It’s been a dream.”
Council is encouraging locals to apply for community grants, which will be up for grabs from Monday.
