NEW ENGLAND VOTERS WANT MARRIAGE EQUALITY ISSUE RESOLVED

A new poll shows majority of New England residents want marriage equality resolved by a parliamentary vote.
Commissioned by the Equality Campaign, the survey revealed 62 per cent of people in the electorate believe the issue should be voted on by the end of 20-17.
Almost 33 per cent of residents said they’d be less likely to vote for the Coalition if a vote in parliament was not completed this year.
As well as the New England electorate, the poll was conducted across 11 other federal Coalition seats.
