41-YEAR-OLD TO FRONT COURT OVER ALLEGED ONLINE SEX CRIMES
A man on the Central Coast who believed he was talking online with a 14-year-old girl will appear in court today, to face a number of charges.
Police from the Sex Crimes Squad began engaging with the man online last month.
They allege the man made numerous sexually-explicit comments, including requests for child abuse material, and also made arrangements to meet with her.
Around 2pm yesterday, the 41-year-old was arrested during a vehicle stop on Wyong Road in Tuggerah.
Police then allegedly seized electronic devices and a SIM card when they executed a search warrant on a home in Berkley Vale
The man was charged with use carriage service to procure persons under 16, using a carriage service for child pornography, use carriage service to transmit indecent communication to person under 16 years, and produce child abuse material.
He will appear at Wyong Local Court later today.
