A 19-year-old man has been charged with lighting a bushfire near Tingha in northern New South Wales.
It’s believed the man – who is a volunteer fire fighter – is responsible for a blaze which broke out near the township in September last year.
The man was released on conditional bail – he’ll front Inverell local court next month.
Since August, New England police have been investigating more than 25 suspicious bushfires in the Tingha area.
