Around 20 staff at the Hurford Hardwood timber plant at Tuncester were evacuated this morning, after a fire broke out in one of the hoppers. Emergency services were called to the business at around 10.30am, with fire fighters working for more than an hour to extinguish the blaze. It’s believed the fire was caused by an overheated bearing.
