The Stardust Circus has hit back at its critics over the use of exotic animals in its shows.
Animal rights activists staged a protest in Coffs Harbour today, claiming the animals are being exploited.

When will they learn. They can’t just petition for the animals to be set free as they have never lived in the wild. It would be negligent to do so, and heartbreaking for the handlers, trainers and every one at the circus.
