COUNCIL HOLDS DOGS AFTER FIVE PEOPLE ATTACKED
Two dogs have been seized after five people, including two children, were attacked in the Hunter yesterday.
A 40-year-old woman was walking her dog on Chelmsford Drive Park at Metford at about 7 last night, when she was attacked by two dogs.
A 38-year-old man and two girls aged nine and 16 came to the aid of the woman, but they were also attacked.
A 24-year-old man, who lives nearby, also came to assist and was bitten by the dogs.
Paramedics attended and treated multiple patients at the scene while the 40-year-old woman was taken to John Hunter Hospital for surgery.
A short time later the dogs were captured in a local park, they’re currently being held by Maitland City Council.
