STUDY FINDS ‘NO NEED’ FOR RAIL LINE

After months of delay, the New South Wales Government has finally released the feasibility study on the Casino to Murwillumbah rail line.

It claims reinstating passenger services wouldn’t meet current or future transport needs and instead recommends investigating improving local bus services.

The 130km line has been out of service since 2004.
