Newcastle Show organisers remain positive about its future, despite a drop in crowd numbers.
Around 3,000 people passed through the gates yesterday, just a third of previous years.
“The thing that we’re really excited about is the feedback we’ve got from those 3,000 people who have been here. Especially on our social media and from around the grounds, people have loved the show.”
Today’s persistent rain didn’t dampen the spirits of hard-core show-goers.
Indoor exhibits proved popular, with the traditional bake-off attracting a good turnout.
And of course it wouldn’t be a day at the show without a visit to sideshow alley.
