WEIDEMANN’S CLAIM WEE WAA CUP

‘Readily’ made a late surge, to win harness racing’s Wee Waa Cup in Narrabri for Queensland’s Weidemann family late yesterday afternoon.

Tamworth-trained ‘Mithry’s Magic’ had been in charge for the entire race, but couldn’t hold off the fast-finishing gelding.

“Down the outside is ‘Readily’. It’s ‘Mithry’s Magic’ and ‘Readily’, and oh, ‘Readily’ may have got ‘Mithry’s Magic’ on the post.”

Narrabri will race again on Sunday, with its Carnival of Cups.
