PERFORMING ARTS PRECINT FORGES FORWARD

After years of debate, plans for a performing arts precinct in Gosford are progressing.
This oval- outside the leagues club selected as a preferred site for the development during last night’s council meeting.
$10 million in federal government funding has already been allocated to the project.
“I’ve heard people talk about opera houses, i’ve heard them talk about domes and you look at something like the art house obviously budget is going to be a consideration.”
But don’t expect to see cranes in the sky anytime soon- construction isn’t likely to start for another 18 months.
