- A build up of fumes from a petrol-driven pump is believed to have led to the deaths of three people inside an empty water tank at Gunning, north of Canberra.
- A man ran from a housefire in Newcastle with his legs burning early this morning. He’s being treated in hospital. The house at Lambton was badly damaged.
- Thunderstorms with heavy showers have crossed over Newcastle, parts of the Hunter and North West.
- And Midnight Oil has announced dates for their re-union world tour.
