COUNCIL LEARNED LESSON FROM BIG MAC OUTRAGE
Tamworth Council will change the rules for leasing public spaces, following community backlash over the placement of an eight-metre tall Big Mac.
The 300-kilo burger sparked outrage in January, after it was erected near a war memorial.
Councillors have since endorsed a new policy for leasing public spaces, which includes a rigorous assessment process for applications.
