LEVEL CROSSING WARNING FOR THE OXLEY LAC
Level crossings around town will be a hive of activity from Monday, as Oxley LAC officers begin a crackdown on dangerous driving behaviour.
For two weeks, there will be an increased police presence at level crossings in Tamworth, Werris Creek and Willow Tree.
The operation is hoping to remind drivers of the dangers and consequences of failing to stop at level crossings or queuing across a railway line.
The penalty for disobeying controls at a level crossing is three demerit points and a $433 fine.
