TINGHA IN LIMBO AS DRAFT BOUNDARY REJECTED

Tingha residents won’t be joining the Inverell Shire anytime soon, after councillors rejected proposed electoral boundary changes from Armidale Regional Council.
While Inverell Council supports the move, councillors didn’t believe the draft map was a true reflection of the whole Tingha community.
Mayor Paul Harmon will now meet with Northern Tablelands MP Adam Marshall, Armidale administrator Ian Tiley (TILE-EE) and the Local Government Minister to discuss re-drafting the boundary.
